Rotary Club of Belgaum Darpan Conducts District-Wide Blood Donation Drive

 

Belagavi, July 1: The Rotary Club of Belgaum Darpan, in association with the Rotary Belgaum Pariwar, successfully organized a district-wide blood donation drive on Wednesday at SGBIT, Shivbasav Nagar, Belagavi, under the banner of Rotary District 3170’s service initiative themed “Create Lasting Impact.”

 

The blood donation camp witnessed an overwhelming response from Rotarians, students, faculty members, and members of the public, who voluntarily donated blood to support hospitals and patients in need. The initiative aimed to create awareness about the importance of voluntary blood donation and help meet the growing demand for safe blood.

 

Addressing the gathering, President Dr. Sphoorthi Mastiholi highlighted that Rotary District 3170 is conducting blood donation drives across the district as part of its commitment to community service. Dr. Allamaprabhu Mahaswamiji blessed the gathering and emphasized the importance of humanitarian initiatives such as blood donation, encouraging more people to participate in such noble causes.

 

Assistant Governor Ramesh Ramgurwadi proposed the vote of thanks and appreciated the efforts of all those who contributed to the successful organization of the camp.

 

The event was coordinated by Event Chair Rtn. Laxmi Chavali and Secretary Rtn. Jyoti Kulkarni, with the wholehearted support of club members including Surekha Mummigatti, Divya Mudigoudar, Sandhya Timmapur, Urmila Gani, Dr. Smita Gudaganatti, Dr. Smruti Pradhan, Dr. Shivaleela Kampli, Sheela Patil, Savita Hebbar, Asha Patil, Manisha Kalghatkar, Pushpa Patwatrao, Raksha Upadhye, and other dedicated volunteers.

 

The Rotary Club of Belgaum Darpan expressed sincere gratitude to all blood donors, volunteers, medical professionals, and the management of SGBIT for their valuable support in making the camp a grand success.
