- A meeting of the Maratha community delegation was recently held in Bengaluru under the leadership of Former Minister P. G. R. Sindhia ji. The meeting was organized by Karnataka Kshatriya State President Shri Suresh Rao Sathe in connection with the upcoming Karnataka State Backward Classes Commission and Educational Survey.
On this occasion, the following dignitaries were present:

• MLC Shri M. G. Muley
• KKMP Governing Council Chairman Shri S. R. Sindhia

along with several community leaders and members.
After detailed discussions, the meeting resolved and unanimously decided that in the upcoming State Educational and Caste Survey, all Marathas should enter the details as follows:
• Religion: Hindu
• Caste: Maratha
• Subcaste: Kunbi
• Mother Tongue: Marathi
