Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has said that the government will give the strictest punishment to whoever is responsible for the Red Fort blast in Delhi.
His statement came after investigators identified Dr. Umar Un Nabi from Pulwama as the main suspect. Early reports say he was likely the one driving the white Hyundai i20 car that exploded near the Red Fort.
While speaking at an event in Delhi, Rajnath Singh said the government is taking the incident very seriously.
He said,
“I assure the country that the people behind this blast will be caught and will not be spared.”
He also said that top investigation teams are working quickly and carefully on the case, and the results of the investigation will be shared soon.
