Belagavi:

“The NSS pledge is not just a collection of words, it is like a lighthouse in the ocean of life. If every student imbibes its values, they can showcase true leadership in society,” said Dr. F. V. Manvi, Chairman of the Governing Council of the institution.

He was speaking after hoisting the flag during the NSS Day celebrations held at SGBIT College in the city. He added, “The true meaning of life can be realized only through service. One who serves leaves a permanent mark in society. Students must become role models for others through their behavior and conduct—this is the real achievement of NSS.”

Principal Dr. B. R. Patagundi, in his address, said, “Student life itself is a school of discipline. By participating in NSS service activities, students must imbibe this discipline.” He also distributed badges symbolically to the newly inducted volunteers, marking the beginning of their journey in social service.
