Response on the Karnataka State Budget
(As Mahila Morcha Secretary)
It is clear that the Karnataka State Budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has failed to meet the expectations of the common people. The budget does not reflect clear and sustainable plans for the development of women, youth, and middle-class families.

The budget appears to rely mainly on promises and guarantee schemes, which may increase the debt burden on the state’s economy. It is unfortunate that there is a lack of visionary plans for development, job creation, industrial investment, and infrastructure growth.
Especially in the area of women empowerment, despite making big announcements, the budget does not present adequate measures to support women entrepreneurship, self-employment, and financial independence.
People expected a budget that would lead to the overall development of the state and empower women and youth. However, this budget has failed to meet those expectations.
We will continue to fight for a budget that protects public interest, ensures development, and maintains economic discipline.
