The deadly car explosion near Delhi’s Red Fort that killed 10 people and injured more than 20 has now been officially declared a terror attack by the Central government. Investigations are still going on, and several new details have come out.
1. Declared a Terror Attack
The government has confirmed that the blast was a terror incident.
An FIR was already registered under laws related to terrorism and explosives.
A statement from the government said that India will continue its zero-tolerance policy against terrorism.
2. Planned Blast or Panic Explosion?
Investigators are trying to find out whether the explosion was planned in advance or happened by mistake or panic.
Police think the blast might have occurred when a terror module in Faridabad was being tracked by the cops. The attackers may have panicked and triggered the blast early.
3. Jaish Connection Found in Telegram Chats
Police have found a “clear Jaish-e-Mohammed link” in Telegram chats on the phones of the arrested doctors.
The chats showed that the accused were in contact with Jaish handlers in Pakistan, and they were following instructions from across the border.
4. Doctor’s Past Revealed
The ex-husband of one of the arrested doctors, Dr. Shaheen Shahid, spoke to the media.
He said she was once a normal person and a mother of two. They divorced in 2015, and he never thought she would get involved in such activities.
5. Turkey Visit Confirmed
Investigators found that two of the accused, Dr. Umar Nabi and Dr. Muzammil Shakeel Ganaie, visited Turkey in 2022.
Authorities believe they might have met their handlers there, but details of the trip are still being investigated.
Officials say that these new findings point to a well-connected terror network involving educated individuals and international links.
