Belagavi’s New Winter Flights May Be Delayed Due to IndiGo’s Current Problems.

Belagavi was expecting better air connectivity this Winter 2025 season. IndiGo had announced two new daily direct flights — one to Mumbai and one to Hyderabad — starting from October 26, 2025. These, along with the existing Delhi flight, were set to make IXG Airport’s network stronger.

But now, there may be a delay.

IndiGo is currently facing major operational problems. For the past week, the airline has been cancelling many flights at big airports. This is mainly because of crew shortages and difficulty adjusting to the new DGCA Flight Duty Time Limit (FDTL) rules. The airline has told the aviation regulator that it will reduce its operations for some time and expects things to return to normal only by February 10, 2026. Until then, more cancellations and changes in schedules are likely.

IndiGo has not given any specific update about Belagavi. However, aviation experts say that when airlines face large-scale issues, new routes are often the first to get delayed or put on hold. So the new IXG–Mumbai and IXG–Hyderabad daily flights might not start on time or may run irregularly until IndiGo stabilizes its operations.

For now, Belagavi remains connected to six main cities — Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Jaipur, and Ahmedabad. Passengers are advised to keep checking for updates as IndiGo works through its challenges.

If IndiGo fixes its issues early, the new flights could still start as per schedule. But for the moment, Belagavi’s Winter 2025 flight boost may get pushed back.

There are also early indications that an IXG–NMI (Belagavi–Navi Mumbai) flight could be announced in February 2026 once IndiGo fully returns to normal operations.
