“Belagavi: VHP, Bajrang Dal Workers Burn Lorry Over Alleged Beef Transport”

Belagavi: Reports have emerged that workers of the Vishva Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal set fire to a lorry, alleging illegal transport of beef, near Ainapur village in Kagwad taluk of Belagavi district on Monday night.

When Hindu activists stopped and inspected one of the four lorries traveling from Kudachi town towards Hyderabad, a large quantity of beef was reportedly found in lorry KA71 2045. Enraged, the activists set fire to the vehicle along with the beef inside, according to reports.

The incident created a tense atmosphere at the site, and Athani DYSP along with Kagwad police immediately rushed to the scene, taking two people from the lorry into custody and initiating an inquiry.

Fire department personnel who arrived at the scene extinguished the fire. The police are continuing the investigation to decide on further action.
