Al Falah University has issued a statement saying it has no connection with the doctors who were arrested after the Delhi Red Fort blast and the Faridabad terror module case.
Vice-Chancellor Bhupinder Kaur said the university only knew the doctors in their official work capacity and had nothing to do with their alleged activities.
“We are deeply saddened by what has happened and strongly condemn it. Two of our doctors have been detained, but the university has no link to them beyond their jobs here,” Kaur said.
The VC also denied reports that explosives or chemicals were stored on campus.
“All our labs are used only for teaching and training medical students. No such chemicals or materials are stored or used here,” she added.
The university also said it is fully cooperating with the investigation and helping the security agencies find the truth.
The ‘White-Collar’ Terror Module
Security agencies have discovered what they call a “white-collar terror network” that operated across Jammu and Kashmir, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh.
Seven people, including two doctors, were arrested. The police recovered around 2,900 kg of explosives, along with guns, pistols, and bomb-making materials during raids in Faridabad.
Investigators said the group was linked to banned terror groups Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) and Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind (AGuH), with foreign handlers from Pakistan and Gulf countries.
One of the main suspects is Dr. Muzammil Shakil, a 35-year-old doctor from Pulwama, who worked at Al-Falah Medical College in Faridabad for over three years.
During the raids, police found:
On November 8: a rifle, pistol, and many bullets.
On November 9: 358 kg of ammonium nitrate, batteries, wires, and other bomb parts.
On November 10: 2,563 kg of ammonium nitrate at another rented house in Faridabad.
Police believe the explosive material was being stored to make high-power bombs that could destroy buildings or vehicles.
The crackdown is part of a larger anti-terror operation against JeM and AGuH networks in cities.
Those arrested include:
Arif Nisar Dar (alias Sahil)
Yasir-ul-Ashraf
Maqsood Ahmad Dar (alias Shahid)
Maulvi Irfan Ahmad
Zameer Ahmad Ahanger(alias Mutlasha)
Dr. Muzammil Ahmad Ganaie (alias Musaib)
