Along with blending with society and providing medical services, creating awareness is very essential. Especially among senior citizens, hearing loss and balance disorders are common, and awareness must be raised with utmost care and detailed information, said Dr. N. S. Mahanteshetti, Principal of J. N. Medical College.

Inaugurating the Continuing Medical Education Workshop on Balance Disorders and Vertigo organized on 27th September 2025 by the Department of ENT, J. N. Medical College, KAHER, and KLES Dr. Prabhakar Kore Hospital & Medical Research Centre, he said that people in rural areas have almost no awareness about vertigo. Therefore, young doctors must mingle with society and rural communities to spread awareness about comprehensive screening and treatment.
